This is the time of the year that outdoors people live for because they can now participate in two of their favorite activities, fishing and hunting. Living on the Wisconsin River and surrounded by thousands of acres of public hunting land at the Mazomanie Public Hunting Grounds, I can fish and hunt any day that I want during the months of November and December. The Wisconsin River allows fishing for most species year-round with the exception of catfish and sturgeon. You don’t have to drive to northern Wisconsin or Minnesota for quality fishing and hunting when you have both within a few miles of Sauk Prairie.
